Handbags!

Look at these bags and tell me you don't want any of them?... What? Liar!! Every girl would kill for one of those. The downside? They're batshit expensive! We're talking about 300-400$ a piece. That's about NOK 3,000!!! But if you want to daydream a little bit, go to Coach Leatherwear's website. They've also got a very interesting shoe and accessory collection! Dreaming is for free!

A shitty day

Both literally and figuratively. Shakira is a bit sick in her stomach and that translates to really bad poo. We've been already out three times. The poor thing can't hold herself. Some of the poo got stuck in her butt (the very same that happened to Priscilla when I had her last summer) so I had to shower her. Look at her all wet, hehe.

"I did poo myself..."

Recently the Danish brand Tuborg has launched a beer with lime, which I actually like! I'm guessing I'm going to have one later and watch a movie or something.

Cheers!

Woff woff!

That's 'hello' in dog language. For those of you ignorants who didn't know... Ha! :-) Jokes apart, today my friend Diana brought Shakira home. She's travelling to Sweden for a week and we're looking after her adorable bichon frisé.

Here she is in her "bed". You'll notice that's a sports bag and that's because she loves to lay on top of luggage! She will lay on top of any backpack or suitcase you might have! She also loves to smell everything when we're outside and mark her territory. It's important to leave her "visitcard"!

"Hello, I'm Shakira!"

We've just been for a walk in the park. The day is lovely, it is finally sunny and warm even though just yesterday it was storming! This is the park next to our place. Very nice and clean indeed.

Look at her so happy!

A picture with auntie Eva

If I hadn't pulled from the string she'd gone right in the water. Believe me, she tried a couple of times!

Now that Shakira is here, I can't help but wonder how the life of a dog must be like. I mean, we mankind need intellectual stimulation: conversation, reading a book, watching a movie...etc. We need to keep our minds busy, but a dog? Do they ever get just bored? I know they're very happy when they're outside running and smelling other dogs' poo but the rest of the day, what is it like for them?

Well, enough for today! I'm going to watch the football game now!
Bye!

Finally free!

Hello! After working five nights in a row - which is a lot - I finally have free! It's going to be so good! When I woke up at 5pm today it was storming! Lightnings, heavy rain, strong wind...! It's been long since the last time it stormed like this in Trondheim! It was sunny and rainy after that, then sunny and now cloudy. I can never say it enough: the weather in Trondheim sucks!
I took some pictures of the clothes I bought at Vero Moda when we went shopping on Jonny's birthday. I bought the white shirt, the beige jacket and this tiger necklace. I think it's fierce! Do you like it?

At work I got free tickets to see Rosenborg on saturday. I asked Chris and Dori but they are travelling to Sweden. I thought only Diana and Frode were going but I obviously missunderstood. So now I asked Inride and Monica from work, it can be fun. I've never been to Lerkendal Stadion to watch a match before. I've only seen a training. So I look forward to it! Jonny is going to be away this weekend. He's going to a friend's cabin, so he's not coming to the game.
Diana asked me to look after Shakira. She'll be here by tomorrow and we'll have her for a week or so. She's adorable! And by the end of July we'll have Priscilla, too. Doribeth is going to a friend's wedding in Paris, and Priscilla needs her auntie Eva to look after her. I can never say no, I love those dogs! :-)

By the way!

Happy Birthday, Daniele! He's my good friend Bea's boyfriend and he turns 26 today, so congrats! Buon compleanno!

Saturday night (dirirari ra ra ra.... be my baby!)

We all remember that song, don't we? Well, here are some pictures of yesterday night. We went to celebrate more officially Jonny and Gøril's birthdays. So we sat outisde at Mormor's terrace and had some drinks. Doribeth and Diana got Jonny a present:

"What is it?"

A jumper!

And then - as always - I had to leave to work... Sucks.... Here I am at the reception. Luckily for me I got visit from Inride and Monica, who work with me, and kept me some company!

Inride doesn't know how to turn on the flash on her cellphone's camera

Sweet Monica

Happy Birthday (a day later!)

I have been working nights and in the mornings I am a living zombie, so I forgot to post yesterday. It was my Jonny's and my mom's birthdays!!!! Happy birthday!!!!
Jonny and I are having visit from a friend of his, who's crushing on our couch. So all three of us went to town, ate brakfast at Big Bite, went shopping and ordered pizza at home.
I spoke with my mom on the phone and she said she got a laptop for her birthday! I am so happy for her! It's going to be really nice to see her on the internet and on facebook!!!

Jonny's birthday rumcake, was good!

It was Gøril's birthday the same day, too. So she got a present: an anal plug and nipple chains hahahaha!!!

And back to work again tonight..... I feel so unsocial!! I had to work for Jonny's birthday, and tomorrow there's going to be a party and I cannot stay either because I gotta work. Boring!

Football game after football game

Good morning! These days all I watch on TV is the World Cup. I've neber given a shit about football before, but there's nothing better to watch on TV anyway.

Yesterday Jonny and I went to Christian and Doribeth's place to watch Spain vs Honduras. Things turned ugly for Honduras who lost 2-0. But it wasn't because we weren't cheering! Even Priscilla had the Honduras shirt on. Isn't she adorable?

We had a good time eating pizza and drinking beer and Cuba Libres. I actually like this new Tuborg beer with lemon. It is lighter and more drinkable than other regular beers. Reminds me a bit of Coronita. When we got back home, we watched "The Godfather II". Damn, what a long movie. We watched the two first hours and I was falling asleep on the couch. Not because the movie is boring or anything, it's actually very good. I was just getting sleepy. Today I have free again until tomorrow night when I have to go back to the nightshift. I am still not feeling the whole reception thing. Unfortunately. And I know it was me who insisted to my boss to get the job. I don't know. Maybe I ought to give it more time?

Get more volume

Hey guys! Are you tired of having flat and lifeless hair and you want more volume? Everytime I straighten my hair I notice all the volume disappears. But I've learnt what is called as the American hairdrying. I'll try to explain it as clearly as possible!

Turn your hair upside down and start blowdrying with hot air.

When you hair is about 60% percent dry separate the top layer of the hair and tie it up with a bobby pin or a hairgrip.

Blow dry the low section of the hair upside down and help yourself with a brush. Make sure the hairdryer blows from down upwards. Remember that you want your hair to go up not down.

When the lower section is dry, start with the upper section. The easiest way is to hold your hair up with your hands (like if you were hairpulling). Hold it up while you blowdry the root. When the roots and all the hair is dry, hold it up until it gets cold. You might want to use cold air on your hair dryer.

Keep holding your hair up and spray the roots with hairspray or any type of hair styling product of your taste. When you're sure the hair is cold, let it go and voilà, more volume!

Let me know how it went if you decide to try it at home!

I demand good weather, goddamnit!

I demand good weather, goddamnit!! *Imagine with Stewie Griffin voice*. Oh, I love Stewie! Specially when he's featured as a bit of a gay. He's funny.

Today was my first day at reception alone. I still got much to figure out. There is a lot to learn and guests ask a lot of bizarre questions, so I've got to learn quick.

Today I met Chris and Dori and we all ate on the Chinese buffet... yummy! :-) I don't think I'll ever grow tired of Chinese food... ever.
When I got back home, Jonny and I went to Espen's place and watched Brazil beat the crap out of the Ivory Coast. What a game! Brazil owned it. Needless to say, that red card Kaká got was very unfair since the guy from the other team crashed onto him on his very own. But yeah, that's football. Full of unfairness.
Tomorrow I'm going to Doribeth and Christian to watch Spain vs Honduras. Because the Catalan national team is not officially recognized in international competitions and therefore Catalan players can only play as part of the Spanish team, I will be cheering up for Honduras - another country victim of the Spanish colonization! Just that Honduras did waaaay better in the War of Independence and got rid of those conquistadores. We Catalans were just defeated. Period. And we've suffered the consequences ever since: being discriminated, forced into an unwished union with Spain and having gone by several attemps to forbid our language and any celebration of Catalan culture. Lovely, isn't it? I bet most of you didn't know. Of course not. Spain is very good at hiding the truth away.
I don't want to get too political now, because people call me radical. I just like to get real and let everyone know Spain is more than sea, sun and sangria. There's so much shit going on. Most recently, the government brought the country to bankruptcy. All politicians are stupid. No matter what political party they represent. They became politicians because they had nothing better in hand in the first place. If you have a good career and earn plenty, you won't leave it all behind to be a politician and earn shit. So basically the future of our country is handed to a bunch of big time losers. And we're surprised the world goes as it does. Our president, by the way, is a backstabber. He promised to change the law so that Catalonia would be recognized as a nation. People believed him and voted for him, and he then backed off. That's the kind of respect they give us - just to put an example.

Sooo.... back to football again... who do you think is going to win the World Cup? Jonny and I are beting for Argentina. Nobody can play it like Lionel Messi. He is the new Maradona!! We'll see how it ends up.
Do you like my earrings? They're from Vero Moda. Okay, enough talking for today! Blog you later!

I'm a tired kittycat

Last night I worked the night shift. I must say it was better than I expected. There's plenty to do and at the same time you got some time to sit down and relax. Plus the bloody phone is not ringing all the time - which I really appreciate. The downside? It's weekend and most guests are under the influence. It's really nice to be at work with a bunch of drunk German metal-lovers who shout and talk really loud and are way to drunk to walk straight. Every receptionist's dream!
I got home around 7:30 am and went to bed. After I woke up and had some coffee and muffins, I showered and cleaned my closet. I normally get dressed in a hurry and I don't have the patience to fold my clothes properly - or iron them for that matter. Most of my clothes are really wrinkly now but I promised myself I'll be better at keeping the closet tidy. Now we've eaten nachos and had some wine. I had free tomorrow but my boss asked me to work 4 hours. So I accepted. After work I'm going to the Chinese restaurant and eat from the buffet with Doribeth and Christian.
Well, Jonny is waiting for me. We're going to watch "The Godfather". See ya!

Reception

Hello! This new working hours are totally depriving me of energy. I worked the evening guard on wednesday and I got home by 11:30pm. I ate some pizza and went to bed about 00:15. But on thursday I was sat up for the morning guard, so I had to be in by 7am. That means I slept five and a half hours, got up at 5:45 am and off to work it is. I don't think I really like to work like this. It totally kills me. Tonight I am working from 11pm until 7 am. And I'll be working nights five days in a row from tuesday. I'm predicting me and coffee will be really good friends from now on.

Check out my uniform. It's pretty simple but at least it doesn't have weird patterns... or flowers!

I don't feel too hungry either these days. It might be because since I am not up in the rooms, I can sit more instead of moving and lifting weights all the time. I hope I don't get fat of working in reception!

Well, I already let you know in advance, there's going to be very little posting this week. I already see I'm going to be really tired. I hope you guys are enjoying your summers! Here in Trondheim - oh surprise - it's raining. We haven't seen the sun for over a week now. I hope july and august will be nice. This is so unfair... :(

Day with my girls

Hallais!
I've just come home after spending all day in town with the girls. We went shopping at Solsiden and we got samples of Ed Hardy parfums. They smell great! Try them if you can.

I think the pink one smells nicer, but both are great

We felt for eating Chinese and since Bambu was on holidays, Diana suggested we'd try a new place. It took us 20 minutes to find it... It's not that it's difficult to find, but Diana has the orientation skills of a three-year old.. hehe. (I love you Diana, but it's true!). The food was quite okay and so far I think it's one of the cheapest places we've been. The service was good too. Chinese people are very efficient and quick. This is veal chop suey... nam!

We finished our day back at Solsiden for a coffee until Doribeth got a bit sick because of the two girls that were smoking on the other table. They lit one cigarrette after another and Dori has a bit of ashtma so her nose was all blocked and she kind of felt a bit dizzy.

Look what I got from Diana! This is from Friis & Company, a very expensive Danish brand, which sells bags and shoes amongst other complements. Diana found this on sales for almost nothing so she thought about me. So thoughtful, thank you!

By the way, I started my training in reception yesterday. I learnt how to receive bookings and log the info in the hotel system. Now I know how to check room prices, availability and make reservations. Tomorrow I'm working in the evening from 3pm to 11pm and I'll learn how to check people in, and on thursday I'l learn how to check people out. So hopefully I will be able to manage alone soon and be a really good receptionist! Until someone with a weird dialect - or who speaks Danish - will call on the phone and I won't understand shit and my life will be really sour... *Biggest fear* :-S

Sorry if there's little blogging in the next few days! On friday I'm starting working at nights in reception so I guess I'll be sleeping a lot during the day and I won't be too social. That's the price I've got to pay to not clean toiletts. Fascinating...
