Stupid complaints from tourists

Good morning!

Today I've been reading an article on the newspaper about the most ridiculous complaints from tourists. I couldn't help but laugh but at the same time get annoyed by the general silliness! Here's some of the weirdest complaints ever:

- A man compaining about too many Spaniards living in Spain. (DUH!)
- A British man being angry because he wasn't warned about the presence of fish in the ocean. (Strange coming from someone who comes from a country indeed surrounded by ocean)
- A woman suing a hotel because they gave her a double bed instead of two separate beds and that's the reason to why she is currently pregnant. (Yeah, THAT'S the reason...)
- A British tourist who hadn't been warned that mosquitos bite.
- A lady who requested changing her room because she said the air-conditioning was making noise, when the noise was coming from the electric toothbrush in her suitcase.
- A man who complained at an airline over the fact that his seat was too comfortable so that he'd fallen asleep when he would have preferred to remain awake.

You can understand now why this deserved a post, right? I am astonished that there can be so many idiots loose! Since I have the pleasure to work in the tourist business myself, I thought I'd add some of the complaints I've personally experienced:

- A man yelling because it rained in Greece while on holidays.
- A woman yelling because I don't have the capability of reading her mind when she says "I need a train ticket to my hometown". Yeah fine, but where the f#"! is that??
- A woman complaining because after spending over 2000€ in her holidays I didn't tell her she had to pay an enviromental tax of 20€ at the airport even though it had been in all the newspapers and newschannels in the whole country for months.

Amazing, huh?
By the way, I am travelling to Trysil tonight, so there will be no updates until monday night! Happy weekend!

1+1= 5

Once upon a time in a kingdom far far away (Spain) there was a female bulldog who lived with another male bulldog in the house of a very loving family. Suddenly, the family woke up to two bulldogs and three bulldog puppies...

I had to make a quick post about this. My friend Vero's bulldog Lola is now a proud mommy of three gorgeous bulldog puppies she had with Vero's parents' dog Lukas. Aren't they the cutest? Look how proud Vero is! I just had to post some pictures because those puppies are too cute for words!

And they all lived happily ever after.

Warm feet are happy feet

Hi there! I was in town today with Doribeth and her sister and we checked on some shops - as per usual. I saw these colorful and incredibly soft and warm slippers. Jonny hates them, but my feet have never been warmer!

I have already bought some of this year's Christmas gifts. What about you? Do you buy Christmas presents in good time or do you do last minute shopping? I usually do last miute shopping but this year is an exeption and I think it is cheaper and more relaxed to plan a little bit in advance. That way the prices are not so high, you get to check around for a while and you don't feel the pressure of the days passing by. I have found a lot of interesting things already!

Taking a self-picture is not an easy task!

Hellooo! I have been trying to take a decent picture of my new Norwegian-style gloves and I've come to realise the incredible amount of shots it takes me to get at least ONE decent picture.

This one is the final result:

But in order for me to get there I've had to take fifteen other pictures that haven't made it to the blog because of the following reasons:

1. My rubberfacing makes me look like a jerk

2. The picture is blurry. Why? In order to take a picture without the flash (so that the colors will be more natural) you've got to have the fucking pulse of a surgeon.

3. You can see on my face how much I hate digital cameras after several minutes trying.

4. I look at the camera's little tiny screen and I am convinced I got THE PICTURE, but when I download the picture on my PC I look like THAT.

In conclusion:

Digital cameras are hopeless!!

AND

I want to eat mine so I can buy myself a reflex camera

(Or a slave who is really awesome at photoshop and can do some serious airbrushing!)

No no just kidding, I don't want a new camera. I love my camera! It's easy to transport, it takes decent pictures (with the above exceptions) but the only thing is that the colors are never to good because of the flash. And if I switch off the flash then the pictures turn blurry. I think it's safe to say that I predict a tone more of 'decent picture attempts' in the future. But you know what? I wouldn't trade my camera! We've shared too many ugly faces together! <3

New look!

Hello! I was bored at home and I decided to try a new hairdo. I used my straighteners to make fuzzy curls! So the curls get so fizzy I have skiped the straightening process. I just blowdried my hair and started curling without straighening first. Then when I'm done curling I put my head upside down and use hair gel on it. I move my fingers through my hair to create more volume, turn my head upwards again and voilà! What do you think? I love being my own hairdraisser!

Do you like this look? I was thinking about doing my hair like this next weekend at my niece's baptism. Tell me what you think!

Snowing!

Good and white morning to everyone! These are the views I had when I opened the curtains this morning. SNOW! This is the beginning of five or six months of white and cold.

Today and tomorrow I have free from work. I don't want to spill much on my blog, but things are not good. I seriously consider quitting. I am sick of everything and sometimes I just feel like screaming. Is it really worth it I wonder?

Well, I am going to clean the apartment now. Disorder is the word!

Out is good, home is best

Hello! I hope you all enjoyed your weekends! I sure did enjoy mine. On friday night Jonny and I planned a cosy dinner at home. We had beef with red wine sauce, potatoes and vegetables. For the occasion I bought an aromatic candle that smells like chocolate and Jonny opened a good bottle of red wine. I love romantic dinners at home!

Yesterday, we went out to Jonny's bestfriend's place. He recently got together with a girl from Sweden and she was in town for the first time. We had a really good time and she's a very cosy girl. I like her! We drank beer, and wine and then went out to town. We sat at Mikrobryggeriet, a pub which is also a brewery where they serve their own produced beer. I laughed a lot and had a really great time. Back home, we made some pizza and talked. Jonny and I talked about a lot of things and all of a sudden it was 5 am! But yeah, we all love long conversations every now and then, right?

Today I stood up at 12 am and called home. My parents have just come back from a road trip and I just updated them a bit on my life. I am going to eat some nuddles now, I am meeting Susanne at 6 pm! I haven't seen her since before the summer! (Shame on me).

Work and stress always go hand by hand

Helloooo! Few updates lately! I am so tired of working all the time. In addition the environment at work is not being the best at the moment. I don't want to go on details here, but it has been a little bit stressfull to be at work and much more if things are a bit tense. But I will survive and go on, as I always do.

I met up with Doribeth and Cinthia yesterday for a coffee right before work. Her new website is already working and I really wish for her all the success! I will put some flyers at the reception of the hotel and hopefully more people will hear about Glow Company.

Not much more to tell, really. Just that I am fine, Jonny is taking good care of me! I have free this weekend and I already have made a lot of plans. Today I was supposed to go meet my co-workers and have some wine, but I barely slept 4,5 hours and I decided to stay at home and take a nap instead. I need to get some energy back for two more days of work.
