Yoghurts

We've all read that yoghurt is a very healthy alternative to milk. Yoghurt is what you get when "good" bacteria feast on fresh milk. It is easily digested and very rich in calcium, as well as riboflavin, zinc, protein and vitamin B12. Occasionally we can find added vitamin A and D. As if those weren't big reasons enough to switch to yoghurt, some studies show that yoghurt might even help prevent colon cancer and intestinal sicknesses!
But, not all yoghurts are equally healthy... So here's a little review on what's best to buy. If you don't live in Norway it doesn't matter. Just make sure you check this information when you choose your yoghurt! I have compared all these products and here's the results:

Q-melk Skyr: This yoghurt comes in 3 flavours (blueberry and vanilla; strawberry and granate; forrest fruits and vanilla). The Skyr range promotes itself as very healthy and invites you to try these yoghurts and keep having good conscience. And it is true: this is the healthiest option! Although it's the one that comes with less pieces of real fruit, this yoghurt has the least carbs, fat and sugar and it is the richest in proteins. It is also rich in calcium - but not the richest. The taste is not good though. It tastes too sweet and you get soon tired of it.

The Danish company Arla presents us with Yoggi Yalla (which is a drinking yoghurt) and comes in 3 flavours: rapsberry and blueberry; banana, mango and orange; and strawberry and lime. Though they are not the worst classified, we see they they're pretty low in calsium and proteins (this is not good). And they have a pretty high percent of sugar (8%) and carbs (12 g). The bright side is that they are pretty low-fat and they don't taste too bad.

And now let's take a look at Biola drinking yoghurt, produced by the Norwegian corporation Tine. These yoghurts come in different tastes: rapsberry (my favourite), strawberry, apricot, blueberry and natural. We observe that although they're the lowest in fat (just 0,2 grams) they have the lowest amount of proteins, too. But the good taste is due to the fact that they are the ones containing most percent of real fruit (12%) and they are enriched with vitamin B12. Problem: they have too much sugar (10%) but they've got a lot of calcium which is good. For us, Biola is the second best in test.
And finally we'll analise what turned out to be the worst and most unhealthy yoghurt: Tine yoghurts. They come in a huge amount of different flavours and packaging and they are the most rich in calcium! But here's the downside: they have the most sugar (12%) and very few proteins. And what's worst: they have over 4 times more carbs than Skyr yoghurts and 17 times more fat!!!! 5,1 grams of fat is a lot of fat compared to the other yoghurts that have about 0,2-0,5 grams. Very unhealthy if you're dieting!

Here's a table I made with more accurate information. The numbers in red are the worst of it's kind and the green numbers indicate the best of it's kind:

I hope this was useful to all. Remember: low sugar, low carbs, low fat. Chose rich in proteins to build your muscles, rich in calcium for your bones and rich in vitamines!!! Good luck!

And my weekend started

Hello! Or should I say "Bonsoir"?
Since Jonny didn't have any special wish for his birthday (which is June 24th) I thought I'd give him a holiday together as a birthday gift! So yesterday we got us a trip to Paris in September! Nine days, eight nights at a three-star hotel in the Parisian suburbs! Nice!

And... on Monday I'm starting my training in reception. I am so nervous!! I want to learn a lot so I don't make any mistakes! And I am also a little bit afraid of missunderstanding something. I consider myself to be fluent in Norwegian, but every now and then I speak to people with weird dialects or that speak REALLY fast. And sometimes I don't understand what they tell me and I feel like a complete loser. Specially when I speak on the phone. There is no body language whatsoever and sometimes the sound is bad, so the chances for not hearing properly increase. So I have to ask again, but after the third time I beg them to repeat... it kind of gets awkward... :-S
I hope I don't fuck up! I'm going to bring a notebook with me and write down everything!

After the 3 days of training, I'm going to be at work 2 nights with the night receptionist to learn the night routine. I feel that working at night must be more my thing. The phone doesn't ring at all, all the guests are asleep (or most of them are) and you have more time for yourself, to do some cleaning around and starting to prepare breakfast at a slow pace without people constantly interrupting. I hate to get bored at work so I think I'm going to be very good at doing a lot of things and not be lazy - like other receptionists (no names) hehehe. On the downside, working at night completely screws your social life and - surprise here - it is not as well paid as I thought! But it's only temporary for a month or so. I will survive.

Today we made some salad and beef with mushroom sauce. Yummy! I'm not a big fan of salads, but this one is particularly good. It's got lettuce, fresh tomato, schrimps, sliced ham and feta cheese. Put a bit of dressing on top and ready!

After the meal I chilled on the couch with the latest issue of Cosmopolitan. The fact that Lady Gaga is on the cover surely doesn't help change the mind of those of you who think I've got a gay crush on Gaga.... Hmmm. Well, I like her clothes. Not that I would be caught dead wearing them, but she's got some balls dressing the way she does. She's anything but boring!

Me as Lady Gaga this last Halloween
My my my poker face, my my poker face!

Well, do you have any advice for me in my new job? What are your plans for the weekend? I have free but it's going to rain both saturday and sunday. Dear weather: screw youuuu!!!

SUMMER!!!! (But not for long)

Gooooood afternoooooooon!! I heard it's raining in Spain.. HAHA!! xDD
Come on, it was about time WE were the ones having all the fun! ;-) Relax, it's going to rain here too. In the weekend. When I have free. Typical...

I went to work this morning. Excellent weather. I took a sneaky picture in the elevator. They painted it. I like to see the extra money to the community we pay every month is worth it.

Walking to work. It's lovely to take a walk when the weather is so pretty.

When I came back home the sun was still shinning, so I thought I'd work on my tan...

Music is important! "Hace caloooor, la disco subiendo el vapoooor!". Being so much with Diana and Doribeth has made that I start liking some reggeaton songs. (You are allowed to shoot me).

Me happy!

By the way! Today it's our anniversary! One year and five months! Hihihi... congrats to us!

Sunbathing - attempt 1

Hello! I hate the fucking weather!! HAAAATE IT!!! It's switching from sunny to cloudy every 10 minutes! I was in the park and I had planned to sunbath for a couple of hours. I left home with my suncream on (30 minutes earlier as adviced) and had my towel, my sunglasses, some food and water. And I lied down for 5 minutes, taking some pictures.

And then THIS happens:

WTF???

So I went back home with my mood all crashed up and as I'm giving up any hope at a nice tan, the sun comes back. And then another cloud. And right now it's sunny again. I'm thinking I will sit in the terrace. It's much easier to go out and in, then if I have to walk to the park and back.
I bet my ass that tomorrow the weather is going to be wonderful. Why? Because I'll be at work!
Oh, and in the weekend (from Friday to Monday) it's going to rain because I have free. I read it in the weather forecast. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go meditate with my carma and try to find a reason to why I have such bad luck... Bye!
