Today I just had a culinary epiphany! Just took what I had in the fridge and made a really good dinner. First, I fried some onion on a low fire, then added some red pepper, chopped meat, sliced ham and corn. All properly fried in the pan and ready to serve! Now, I know any regular person would not make a big deal out of this, but when you are someone like me who cannot even make a spanish omelette without smashing it all (or without making it taste like castnuts) this is pretty much a success! Did I mention I improvised it?? (= No recipee)... Yeah yeah... shut up, Eva! :-P

Body Of Lies
Tonight I am going to watch "Body of Lies", the latest of Russell Crowe and Leonardo DiCaprio. I have heard the movie is not good and that the only thing that is worth it is DiCaprio's performance, but still it doesn't save the movie. I don't know whether that's right or wrong, but I'll give you guys an update later!
Update: The movie was quite much as described. Felt way longer than the 2h and 7 minutes it lasted and only DiCaprio manages to impress. The iniciated love story DiCaprio - nurse is uncontinued and the movie ends quite suddenly like if they were in a rush to "get over with it". The beginning is promising but the ending is disappointing.

Fritatta!
On saturday after the show, Diana and I decided to eat something at SAS Radisson Royal Garden, because we were starving! And there I had the chance to eat the best omelette I have ever tasted! They named it fritatta, but it really is not like an authentic Italian fritatta should look like. This one was just an omelette... but what an omelette! Thick, soft and very light to eat, it was made with mushrooms, potatoes, red peppers and parmesan cheese. Delicious! The best omelette I have ever tried!

Now I am finally aloud to post these pictures of the gothic photoshoot pre-fashion show. This time the photographer is a professional, Vegard Breie, and he has been named "Best Photographer of the Year". Here's the link to his site: http://www.vegardbreie.no/
Happy B-Day, Ville!
Tomorrow saturday is Ville Vallo's birthday! He was born in 1976 so that would make him.... 32!! Time flies! (Don't worry Ville, you still look young!). Tomorrow I will be a bit busy to post because I will be in the catwalk show at SAS Radisson Royal Garden, but from this blog I want to wish Ville a happy birthday!! No mention I am posting this because this man is my idol! I still get goose pimples with some of his songs!

I've been ditched by.... Zara??
Exactly. I have not been given the job at Zara that I had applied for. After passing the first round of group interviews - where I did a great GREAT performance - I don't seem to have matched the requests for Zara. Amazing. Four years of universitary education and not even fucking Zara wants to hire me!!! Like what, I am not fit enough to sell clothes to stupid blondes with daddy's credit card? Aparently not! Well... to set the record straight... fuck off!!! I can do better! And Zara, by the way, sucks! I once bought a pair of pants there when there was sales and the pants were labelled 3€ more expensive than before sales! So actually they are a bunch of cheaters! No wonder Amancio Ortega is the richest man in Spain and the third in Europe... he surely knows how to steal his extra euros! As you can all appreciate, I am damn pissed, but still optimistic than I can find a better job than that. So your loss Zara!! Go hire stupid fully make-up stuffed teens for your shops and you'll see the mistake reflected in your revenues! Good opening!
PS: I've always liked H&M and Gina Tricot better!

This Christmas...
Following with the recently started Christmas gifts talk I would like to take the chance to make a statement here. This year I have decided it is time to put an end to gifts that I do not really need or will make any use of. Since there is not really much I look forward to or really need, I hereby beg those of you who annually exchange Christmas gifts with me, that instead of buying me something, you make a donation to one of the following NGOs (non-gubernamental organizations). The amount of money is not the important, but the help that any money will provide people who really need it is what really matters.
- Intermon Oxfam España: https://www.intermonoxfam.org/es/page.asp?id=482
- Plan España: http://www.plan-espana.org/involved/135823/
- Médicos Sin Fronteras: http://www.msf.es/donativos/donativo_i.aspx
Please consider this, I would really be glad if you decided to make a solidary donation this year instead of buying soemthing else that I do not really need. Thanks and happy countdown to Christmas!

Kitchen experimenting
It's no big secret that I totally suck in the kitchen, but I have decided it is time to suck less and that's why I'm trying new things! This time I have tried to make horn, which is somehow of a croissant with salami and cheese on the inside. The first step is to check we have all the ingredients:
The second step is to mix the ingredients correcty to obtain the mass. And there it is!
Now we work on the mass and make it take the shape of a pizza. From there we will cut the mass in 8 equal pieces, which we will fill up with salami and cheese and then roll up until we get these: Time to bake the horn now! We will preheat the oven at 240 degrees Celsius and place the tray in the middle of the oven for 10 minutes. (Please try not to cry when looking at how clean the oven is...).
And then, if you have followed correctly all the instructions - which I think I have - and are not distracted watching The Oprah Winfrey Show, you should get a less toasted version of this:
