Like a girl with new shoes!

I feel like a girl with new shoes!!! ... Oh wait, I AM A GIRL WITH NEW SHOES!!! Say hello to my new babies. Not only the shoes are gorgeous but they have a good deal of advantages: they're black and therefore match with everyting; they are high heels and can be used in a numerous amount of occasions; black never dies; they were on sale; in spite of the heels I can still walk in them; and ... come on they're amazing!

And the cherry on the top... they match my new bag!

Can you guess who is the happiest girl in Trondheim?

Woff!!

Hello you all!
I am so tired today. I woke up at 6:20 am this morning to take Priscilla out before I had to work. I took a shower, ate a toast and went out with her. Then I took the bus to work only to find out I was never meant to work and had actually free. Talk about annoying!
So I went back home and ate something and then went to town with Jonny to buy some clothes for his nephews. We found really nice baby clothes for Aurora and two more pieces for his older nephews Elina and Aksel. I think I learnt a little bit more about baby clothes. To be honest I have zero experience and I had no idea about how the sizes work.

When we came back home we ate dinner and then I was out again with Priscilla, who needs her daily long walk in the park and was so happy running and jumping all the time! There was an attempt to approaching the water in the river but she just put her little paw in the water for a second and inmediately turned the other way. You see, Priscilla is afraid of water. According to Dori, she had been a bit impulsive when trying to learn Priscilla how to swim and threw her in the river without any previous contact with water resulting in the poor Priscilla being scared for life. I am guessing that with some patience and cookies we could make her lose her fear but unfortunately the water in the river is too cold and too mosquito friendly for me to even try to get in. Another time!

Love is in the air...!

And this ladies and gentlemen is the first living example of an Eva-made omelett that didn't break into pieces or get burned! I can imagine that all of you must think I must be really silly to be so proud of something just as simple as an omelette, but if you knew how terrible of a cook I really am you'd understand my satisfaction.

That's all for today. I'm working tomorrow and all weekend. Yikes. I really want vacation now. My body and mind are craving for some time off. I haven't had a real holiday since Christmas and there is always a lot to do at work now because it's high season. I am going to apply for other jobs. I start to feel the need to have a regular monday to friday job that gives me some stability so I can plan my free time better. Working in a business that is open 24/7 means that I can work whatever day of the week, whenever time. I wish for myself something more stable. If I get a job in a shop at least I'll be positive that the shop is going to be closed on sundays and will not be required to work that day. I envy those of you with free weekends! So cross your fingers and toes for me and wish me luck!

KICK ASS!

Aloha! Jonny had bought me a t-shirt that arrived today in the post. It's from the movie "Kick Ass" and it's pretty cool! I love the colors!
Later today Dori and Christian came by with Priscilla, who's going to stay with us for a week or so while they are in France. Doribeth has a friend who is getting married so they are travelling to Lyon to assist to the wedding and going to Paris for 3 days after that.
Oh, how I wish it was september aleady so I can travel to Paris with Jonny! Looking forward to it!

Dori brought this lovely plant, and some parsley and chive we can use to cook

Check out Priscilla in this video. She was trying to scratch me on the lips because I was making weird sounds. She's so funny! (Sorry it's a bit dark but the light was off).

Blog you soon!

Grilling at Ilsvika

Today I enjoyed myself grilling in the park next to our house and feeling the sun warmth on my skin. My shoulders are chocolate colored! Priscilla wanted to run free but we had to tie her up when a family with three small children decided to sit next to us even though the park was empty everywhere else.

And the best part of the day... Jonny received a phone call from his brother Ivan: his baby girl was born today! She is 3700 grams, 51 cms tall and beautiful and healthy! I'm looking forward to see her late in the summer. Such nice news!

Haunting for the perfect dress

Good morning, blog readers! Yesterday before work I met Julie, Diana and Doribeth at Agape to help Julie find her wedding dress. I love that shop! About hundred and twenty square meters of bridal joy! And Diana and Dori also bought a dress for the ceremony. Well, I can't spill any details on that but the dresses are dreammy!
After that we were starving so we sat at Tulla Fischer and ate lunch.

Dress: Bik Bok

At 3 pm I went to work and it was a pretty relaxed afternoon. That is until the night receptionist Beatriz calls and says she's got an ear infection and she can't work. I decide to call my boss who was coming from holidays the same day to cry for help. He tells me he's in the airport in Oslo and that if I can't get anyone to work the night shift I have to work to shifts (that is 16 hours). I panic and let all my anger out on Facebook. I can't believe it! Especially since I am the one that told my boss we needed more people at work in case someone got sick and he was the one to pretend I never opened my mouth. How come this is my freaking problem now and why do I have to work for 16 hours?! It is illegal to work more than 13 hours within a period of 24 hours and my boss certainly gives me no other choice (even though he was arriving to Trondheim the very same night and he could have worked himself). So I did what I do best: get really pissed and let everyone know about it!
In the end, everything turned just fine when I got to reach Andreas and he said he'd take the night shift. I owe him big time for this! One of my colleagues, Monica, was such a sweetheart and came by with a friend of hers to bring me french fries and a milkshake to cheer me up! She's so cute! In the end I finally managed to relax and finish my shift without any more incidents. But one thing is for sure: either my boss hires more people or we're in deep shit!
Soon I will go out to the park and grill with Christian and Doribeth. Haven't heard from Diana so I don't know whether she'll be joining or not.

Enjoy the Agape website and try not to drool on the keyboard! Bye!

Beachtime soon?

This weekend the weather has been perfect and if it weren't because I have been at work all the time I would have liked to go out. Work is exhausting. On tuesday and wednesday I have free and I really hope I will be able to go to the beach and bath. You know what? I have never bathed in the sea in Norway! And I been living here for 5 YEARS! I know.... But I have never known where the beach is and I have always been away during the summer but I hope I can soon be able to say I have bathed in Norwegian waters!
Like the top? It's an old one. I've had it for at least 5 years but it never goes out of fashion! I love it! You can't appreciate it so well in the pictures but I actually had teased my hair and it was biiiiiiiig :-P Well, I will meet Diana and Julie tomorrow in the morning and help Julie pick up a wedding dress. She is getting married soon! Well, I'm going to watch a movie with my love now.

Bye!

Dinner night and spa day

Yesterday we all enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Christian and Doribeth's place. The menu was roasted chicken with potatoes, onions and carrots. And for dessert fruit salad! It was really good. We of course enjoyed red wine through all the meal and Dori made sure we got out glass refilled all the time, so it's her fault I got kind of drunk (hehe). I had at least 3 red wine glasses, a beer and two cocktails of Captain Morgan and cola. It was goooood!

Guess which of the three is Shakira!

This morning when I woke up really dizzy. We had agreed with Dori that we'd go and try out the Spa at Britannia Hotel. We'd seen the inside during the Sex and the City 2 premiere and I casually found out that the entrance ticket was cheaper for the whole month of July. I got up, showered, and went to the store to get some breakfast. After I ate I felt a bit better but I sort of regreted I had had so much booze the night before. Luckily for me I was all good again by the time Dori picked me up with the car.
We got there around 1:30pm and got given a bathrope and some soft slippers. We first tried the big swimmingpool and eventually all the other facilities.

Overall it was a really nice experience. That is until a group of six norwegian boys - around the same age as us - came in talking really loud. I prayed for all of them to slip, fall down and crack one of their nuts. I really mislike when people can't shut the fuck up. We were not at a disco or a shopping mall. This is a spa, my friends. A temple of glorious relaxation and water amusement! And a place you need to BE QUIET!! What can I say, no matter where you go, there are always uncivilized people who don't know how to behave. But in my opinion that's when the spa staff should have just said: "Shhhhh", right?

Well, now it's getting late for this old lady who has to work the whole weekend. After dinner I passed on the couched for an hour until I was awaken by my own caugh. Mousaka + lying on the couch + The Cleveland Show = Granted nap.

Summer, sun, cava and strawberries

Guess what I've been doing.... *Naughty smile*
I think the post title sums up nicely. Catalan cava, strawberries, sun, bikini, balcony and a nice tan! This is how I spent my weekend. I wanted to go out tonight but everyone Jonny and I know is out of town! Next time I guess!
By the way, I'd like to make a remark! For those who didn't know. The term 'champagne' is for that of sparkly white wine produced in the French region of the same name. Therefore, any tipe of bubbly white wine cannot be called champagne unless it comes from France. Catalonia is a big producer of this sparkly wine, just that it is called cava. And just like in the case of champagne, unless it has a Catalan origin you can't call white sparkly wine cava. In Germany they call it sekt. A lot of people use the word champagne as a generic term and that would just be incorrect. Like when we call 'rimmel' to all eyelash mascaras. Rimmel is a brand and not the name of the product.

You know what is good with cava? Strawberries!

Let's talk about berries now! Strawberries are very popular in Norway. Thanks to the Mexican gulf stream that makes the Norwegian climate milder, this country is a good place to cultivate strawberries. The United States is the largest world strawberry producer, followed by Spain. Who knew Spain was such an important producer! And now a fun fact: did you know the name Chandler (like the character in "Friends") is the name given to the Californian strawberries? Chandler is then named after a strawberry! Weird they never mentioned that in the show! :-)

I'm going to take a much needed shower now. A miracle has occured and Jonny is actually tired of playing Call of Duty. I think I believe in God now. Hahaha, kidding! Blog you later!

Cocktail + Alias + people = sounds like fun to me!

Hello! I am so tired and overworked, but at least I have free this weekend after working 4 weekends in a row. Yeeeey!
Yesterday I went to Monica's place. Monica works with me at the hotel and she made a small gathering at her apartment with some people from work and some of her friends. So I got dressed and ready and went to her at 8:30 pm... This is what I wore:

This is me casually walking to Monica's place... absolutely not posing for a picture in the middle of an empty street... The camera just happened to be there...

The day is perfect: it's warm enough with a slight breeze, I have enough alcohol to get tipsy and I don't have to work the next day! Look at the landscape I have right next to where I live. Nice!

I arrive at Monica's apartment at the right time with the right energy. Finally, time to be social! Monica opens up and shows me the incredible nice apartment she shares in the city centre with her brother. I die of envy for a little bit... :P

My colleagues Monica and Malene :-)

So we sit down at her living room and Monica already makes her first attempt to drunkness by making this yummy smoothie with strawberries, banana and rum! You go, girl!

Malene brought the friend who she shares apartment with. I feel like I should be giving a name but to be completely honest I suck at names, so I don't remember :-S But I can tell you she is very good at making sure nobody cheats at Alias!

Here we are having a really nice time playing Alias. (Alias is a board game where you are supposed to pick up a card that contains a word and try to describe the word to your team mates without mimic or using the very same word). It's a pretty funny game to play when you are tipsy!
We are all enjoying ourselves and laughing, when suddenly *terror movie sound*...

Oh no!

They need me at work the next day! This is one of those moments when you know the Murphy law is undeniably true!!! Sara from work is sick so someone needs to replace her! Being the big time loser that I am, I say I will go to work.... I hate myself. Well, I hate the fact people get "sick" right before the weekend, let's face it!

I had then to leave the party after only 2 hours... I couldn't drink more and I had to wake up early. Live is rough.
But now is friday night, I have free tomorrow AND sunday, and I swear I am not showing my face off at work until monday! :-) Word!
