My relaxed weekend

Hello! Tomorrow I'm doing NOTHING!!! I was working all day and I'm beated up. Look at the lovely breakfast I had this morning. I love mozzarella and tomato!

You might have already read this in my Facebook page but... I'm going to the Sex and the City 2 premiere! Red carpet, champagne, a visit to a luxurious spa, the movie and some amenities. Looking forward to it! I've got a new outfit from the Charlotte Thorstvedt collection for Bik Bok. I look forward to it!

 

More birthday surprises!

When I came back from work I saw a paper in my mailbox. Vero's gift was here! Wooohooo! I went to the post office inmediately. I couldn't wait to open it! And here is what I got:

A smoky eyes kit with instructions, so I don't end up looking like a racoon!

A lovely golden purse with a Clarins glossy, a body lotion and a Lancome pink lipstick.

Thank you so much!! I love all of these things! - By the way, I want to emphazise that my silly computer has decided to go on an ortography strike and refuses to write any accents or similar, so I haven't misspelled Lancome, I just am not allowed to write it correctly! This blog doesn't allow me to copy-paste from another website, so there's really nothing I can do.

Summer shoes!

Hi! Today's been a weird day. At 8am I had an appointment to the dentist - the scariest place on Earth. I've got two wisdoms teeth growing at the same time and they hurt so bad!! Plus, I've seen I've got a couple of teeth that have gotten a but black. That's never a good sign. After scanning my teeth by introducing a weird machine the size of an mp3 in my mouth (I struggled badly with the gag reflex), she told me that I have a bit of a bacterial infection. On the good side, the infection had not made any hole in my teeth, which means that the problem is relatively "easy" to fix. She charged me 103€ to tell me that (and to show me how to brush my teeth CORRECTLY). She did actually clean my teeth with salted water, too. And managed to break the cleaning device so that all the salted water ran over my face. Refreshing. I have another appointment on tuesday to have a teeth cleansing.

I came to realize why it's taken my 11 years to come back to the dentist after my already traumatizing experience with my braces back when I was 15. On my way to the pharmacy to get a liquid I should clean my teeth with, I stopped by the shoe shop and got these:

The day after my birthday is the Norwegian National Day. Today Norway celebrates they got their constitution on a beautiful 17th May in 1814, in a city called Eidsvoll - near Oslo. This is a beautiful day to be in Norway (though way nicer if it's not as cold as it was in Trondheim today). It is normal that Norwegians get dressed in their national costume: the bunad. Every region in Norway has a different bunad and if you know them well you can tell from what part of the country the person comes from just by looking at their bunad. Some are pretty similar while others are very different. I love bunads! I think it's so cute people are happy and get dressed and wave their flags instead of demonstrating like we do in Barcelona... Well, here's some pictures of the most popular bunad. The ones with the heart next to it are the ones I think look nicer, but I've only put pictures of the pretty ones anyway. The color of the bunad determines location. Blue means your hometown is on the coast while green means you are from the inland. I still haven't figured out where that white one is from, but I've seen them in the street and they look so cute! Better than what you see in the picture.

Update: I just got to hear that the bunad I tagged as 'Trysilbunad' is in fact wrong. The bunad in the image is from the region of Hedmark, but the city of Trysil has a different bunad if it's own. Sometimes it's quite hard to know which bunad belongs to each place because there are several models and each website tags them differently.

I also thought I'd show you all the wonderful gifts I've gotten in my birthday! I'm so thankful because each and everyone of them is personal and thoughtful. So thank you SO much! And thanks also for coming to my birthday party at home all of you who could! I was worried people would not speak since they don't know each other so well, but everyone was very nice and talkative to each other. It was all I was hoping for!

I got a huge amount of cosmetics from Susanne and Andreas. I was starting to be empty so this is just amazing. I also got a towel with my face on and fridge magnets with a picture of Susanne and me together. Thanks a lot!!! It was so cool!!!

I got a hairdryer with ion-function from Jonny and a haircurler from Diana and Frode. I'm in hair heaven! Thank youuuuu!!!

Doribeth, Christian and Priscilla got me this lovely blue bag that matches my blue ballerina shoes. Gracias!

Understanding my frustration with my way-too-slow computer, Jonny got me this hardrive to put an end to my suffering. My patience thanks you enormously!

I got this beautiful bouquet from Espen, Frank and Ingveig. I love the Norwegian colors it has!

And last but not least, all the birthday cards from everyone and in the middle there's an envelope with two movie tickets I got from Ove. We're sure going to use those soon!

I also got a giftcard from Siri on the internet so I can buy cosmetics and make-up on an Blush.no. Awesome! And some other gifts are on their way to Trondheim. Wonder what they are, I'm so curious!!! Conclusion:

My birthday party!

Someone heard my prayers!

Remember yesterday I was wining about the weather? It seems someone heard me and today the weather was just very fine! Sunny and less frisky than usually. We heard that from now on, the bad weather is gone! I'm sure that now that I've cancelled the grilling it's gonna be nice weather on saturday. That's just so typical! Anyway, I met the girls at Tulla Fischer for breakfast.

I want summer NOW

I am so sick of this weather!! From "warmth" back to rain or even snow... IN MAY!!! I can't believe some people are still defending there is not such thing as climate change. Are you kidding me? The world's gone crazy! I read there was even snow in Spain in May.

I looked back at my Fotolog yesterday and rescued these pictures, from the trip to Granada with my dear Vero:

I was sick with fever, but the weather and the landscape were so amazing I think I recovered fast! It was so idyllic! Why can't it be like this here, too? We've got mountains, lakes and rivers... now we need sun and warmth!

I cancelled the birthday barbecue I had planned for saturday. The weather forecast can't agree on whether it's going to rain or be sunny. I'm not taking chances, so we'll have a party at home instead. It's gonna be too crowded for the little space we have, but I won't start grilling in the sun to find myself soaking wet right after. This is Trondheim; it CAN happen!
