Today I learnt there are lots of different ways to call someone an idiot in Spanish. The word 'dumb' has over 300 synonyms!!! I knew a few of the words but never thought there could be so many! Which leads me to think about how "nice" we are towards others if all we can do with our time is make up words to insult people's intelligence. Here are some of the examples (some words really sound funny!):
- tonto
- bobo
- abismado
- abombado
- agilado
- asnúpido (haha)
- bachilín
- cabeceburro (so far my favourite)
- caído de la hamaca
- cocolioso
- guachinango
- pajuilado
- paparulo
- pendejo
- turuleco (la gallina turulecaaaaa, ha puesto un huevo, ha puesto dos, ha puesto trees!)
- zonzoneco
Aparently there are some other words that also have a considerable amount of synonyms, like: to be drunk, to kill someone and OF COURSE the masculin sexual organ.
