Julebord

This year's Christmas party with my co-workers!

Monica's last day at work with us

We ate dinner at "To Rom og Kjøkken". It's a very fancy restaurant. I had deer with potatoes, mushrooms and artichokes. It was delicious!!!! And for dessert, crème brûlée. We drank wine all night and afterwards some of us went to Kos and had cocktails. I had the night's disappointment when they didn't have strawberry daiquiri, but overall it was a very funny night!

Today I used the gift card I got from Jonny for one hour foot treatment and a one-hour facial at Studio Eirene. I must say I am not too satisfied. When I arrived they offered me coffee and made me wait until the time was 10:10 am. (My appointment was due to start at 10 am). Then a girl calles my name and follows me into a room. She asks me take off my socks and put my feet into the hot water she was pouring in a bucket. She gave me some magazines and said the foot specialist would soon be there. If by soon she meant 30 minutes, then yeah.. she "soon" was there. At this point I was already in a bad mood. The water had stopped being warm right about minute 10, so my feet were deeped into cold water for 20 minutes. In addition to this, the room I was in was kind of cold even though I was wearing a thick jersey. When the foot specialist decided to show up she sat me on a chair and started to do her rutine. She was a very nice and talkative girl and really did a good job on my feet, but the whole thing lasted for 30 minutes. Right here I had already used one hour and ten minutes. They made me wait some more for the facial.
The lady that did the facial to me is a middle aged woman from Greece that seems to think I should really use more anti-wrinkle cream and who means Clinique is a bad cream and that I should use her very good (and bloody expensive) French spa lotions. I let her know that those creams are very pricey and I will stick to my Clinique to which she responds it's up to me whether I want to have dihydrated skin. (Eehhh... rude much?). The whole facial was kind of nice even though she squeezed really hard on my nose to remove the blackheads - sometimes even making it difficult to breathe. But there's no way that lasted one hour! By 11:55 I was already out waiting for the bus. So these five minutes, minus the ten minutes they made me wait at the beginning and minus de half an hour I waited with my feet in a bucket, the REAL treatment was 1:15 hours, not two like it said on the gift card.
So no, I am not really going to recommend this place. Besides, they are a bit too pushy with trying to sell you creams and shit. At the Glow Spa (where I had the Thai massage) they didn't nag this much and they didn't talk all the time.
The result was very good but that was not two hours and the whole thing about "you use a bad cream" was a little bit out of line, in my opinion. At least I don't have more blackheads on my nose and my feet are smooth as those of a baby!
Well, I gotta keep going now. I start work in one hour! See you!
