Anticipated gift

On july the 10th Jonny and I celebrate halv a year together! But he is not going to be in town by then, so yesterday he gave me the gift he bought me. No other thing than a digital camera!! A blue Olympus µ5000, with 5x optical zoom and 12 megapixels! Amongst other properties it also has an automatic beauty retoucher, a calendar, and many other! Did I mention I have the best boyfriend in the universe?? :-) Well I do!

My gift to him has to wait until july though... I'm gonna miss you soooo much this july, babe! But it's only 3 weeks!

Summer's back!!

Finally our turn to enjoy the warmth and brightness of summer (with a bit of luck this time it will last longer than in may)!! I have been sunbathing for 2 hours this afternoon, though I didn't have my bikini with me because I earlier had the "brilliant" idea of taking it back to my place since it was bad weather. Anyhow, it doesn't matter! I put on my shorts, a singlett, sunglasses, took my mp3 and something to read and I laid practically alone in the park. Hopefully I got a bit of a tan, too!

My KOSS headphones

These are my new headphones since I managed to screw up the old ones... ( by the way people: don't roll the cable up because the cable can get damaged... lesson learned!). So my boy suggested these KOSS headphones (he bought them too) and the sound is terrific! I specially like that the bass sounds very loud and clear in comparison to other headphones I've had before. In addition, they also have a button to adjust the pressure on your ears, meaning that they don't sit too tight on your head. And you can fold them and place them in a black cover that you get when buying the product, so they are perfect for travelling!

Doribeth's birthday party

On saturday Doribeth turned 24 and we celebrated with a party in her appartment! It was a lot of un! We drank J&B with fruit juice, gin and tequila. I got so bad after the tequila! And I had to work in the cathedral the next day... my head was spinning so badly! But it was a lot of fun! Happy b-day, Dori!

My favourite shower gel

I have recently noticed I have very little to post, so I just wanted to update and write about my favourite shower gel, which I think smells great. It is the Palmolive Cherry Blossom, and I don't know where did the name come from because it doesn't really smell like cherry AT ALL... If you see it in your local store, give it a try!

Freaky fact of the day

Just posting on something actually kind of silly, but just right now I was heading to the food store to get some bread and potato salad. On the way to Bunnpris there's a block of appartments with a bit of grass, which functions as garden-playground. In that "garden" was there two teenage girls playing ball. I am not an expert but I would say they both were about 14 years old. So I walk by normally, thinking about my stuff when suddenly one of the girls comes walking fast towards me and starts to sing!! Forgive me for not being used to strangers serenading me, but I looked at her with my "what the hell did you smoke" face (you know me... rubberface!). And after she was done singing (or probably she just had enough of my face) she shouted: "School play on Lade Skole this weekend!", so I understood she was just trying to get attention from people to come and see her schoolplay. So I told her that maybe I would go (which is a total lie, cause we all know that's not happening). So I get to the store, buy what I needed and went back. On my way back the girls were obviously still there. When the other girl (the silent one) sees me coming back, she whispers something to the singing girl who at the same time asks me if I wanted her autograph. My normal reaction would be to tell her to get a life, but since she's a teenager I decide to nicely decline the offer. And then she asks me if I thought she was a good singer. A lot of adjectives would come to my mind regarding the girl, such as annoying, a bit too straight, arrogant... but good singer was not one of them. So I answer to her: "I don't see you in Broadway, but you were good at promoting the event so maybe you should think of a career in marketing?", which in my opinion is the best way to tell her she sucks at singing without really SAYING it. This about being a rubberface like me must be really contagious cause I would swear my "what the hell did you smoke" face I had on our first conversation just got all drawned up in her face now! ....Teenagers!!

Beauty tips!

Yesterday I got my birthday gift from Diana: a gift card to Esthéthique (a parfume and beauty shop). Diana - the biggest cosmetic consumer I've ever known - recommended me the brand Clarins. They are natural products with no alcohol - which is great for my skin type because too much alcohol makes me pores red - and they leave a great smell and softness to the skin. I always thought they were a bit too expensive, but now I understand why. Yesterday I bought the Fluide Régulateur Ultra-Matifiant for oily skin and I got rid of the grease on my face at the same time that I gave a lot of moist to my skin. I also bought the Sérum Anti-Pores Dilatés to reduce the size of my pores - which are bigger around the nose and chin area. After exfoliating, this cream is absolutely recommendable to reduce the size of the pores and give the feeling of extra smooth skin.

And since I used so much money, I got a free sample of "Flora", the new perfume by Gucci, and I got a cleansing cream Kanebo Sensai Silky Purifying Creamy Soap which totally gets rid of black spots in the skin (even mine!). That one is a 100% recommendable for all types of skin: it smoothens, cleans and moistures at its best! I do believe it is worth to buy better brands even though they cost a little bit more, because the result is also better, and they last quite long since you just have to apply small quantities. In my opinion, the best brands in the market are Clarins and Clinique, though this last one is probably the most expensive you can find and it often comes in smaller amounts. So, Clarins is for me the best choice right now!
