This is the first time I've had a thai massage. I had read that sometimes it can hurt a little bit because there is a lot of stretching. This is in part true, but at the same time it feels very good, too. Let me expain...
The first is that you are left alone in the room so that you can undress yourself and put on a shirt and pants they give you. Then the masseuse comes in and asks you to lay down. The massage table is delicious! It's plugged in so that the electricity warms it up. It feels already very relaxing. There is oriental music and candles and you are covered under a blanket. The massage consists on pressure with the palm of the hand, rather than strokes. There is little contact to the skin since you are wearing clothes on. First she starts massaging the legs, applying all the weight from her body onto the hands located on the legs. Then she massages the feet and stretches the legs (this hurts a little). After she moves upwards towards the arms and hands. Then you are asked to turn around and she massages the neck for a long time. This was good because my neck always hurts a lot. She applies a lot of pressure sometimes, so that you feel the face pressing against the massage table, but it helps a lot. I got the chills here!
Then you're asked to turn around again and she massages the face and the scalp. This was particularly good. The only problem is that she used some peach smelling oil on my maked-up face, but it was alright. Towards the end she askes you to sit on the table and she massages the back again and makes you stretch the back and the neck.
What I really liked is that she is in charge of all the movement your body is going to make. You just lie there and think about nothing. Overall I liked it a lot! (Except the stratching maybe hehe).
After that, I went home and we had Espen and Lisa visit us and eat dinner at our place. Jonny made his lovely burgers and we played Monopoly on the Play Station 3. Also... I couldn't resist and I opened the Christmas gift I got from Cinthia (Dori's sister). I love it!! Thank you very much!
